ID-5SH Idaho Black Bear

Description:

These hunts take place in SE Idaho, in the backcountry of the Caribou Targhee National Forest, Unit 66 – which is not far from Regions G & H in Wyoming.   This Idaho hunt comes with a guaranteed tag!

–This is a deep horseback/ pack in backcountry hunt, typically hunting high country bears, and sometimes in the lower country.   This is a full 7 day trip, with 5 full hunting days.   Camp is several miles deep, usually 4-10 miles, a few hours on horseback, with outfitter wall tents with cots and stoves, and also a cook tent for the warm meals.  Also have the option of ranch house lodging, or RV’s set up for hunting camp.

–These guides have decades of experience hunting, fishing, and packing into remote backcountry areas.  Their horses are also tried and true backcountry animals.  No need to be experienced with horses for these trips, but the physical ability for long hours in the saddle is a must.    They will strive to give you the experience of a lifetime and access to country that is very difficult to access without horses!  Being in your best physical shape is a big advantage, as this is big, steep, mountainous country, and you’ll be hunting mountain bears.
