START REGISTRATION

Location:

West Texas just 45 minutes East of Lubbock. If flying, the lodge will provide airport pick up if needed.  OS will provide driving directions with your itinerary.

Lodging:

This is a brand new facility, constructed in 2023 with 10 double occupancy cabins, 2 full size beds and private bathroom in each cabin.

Meals:

All meals will be provided during your stay

Equipment Used:

While students are encouraged to bring their own gear, specifically gear you plan on using for an upcoming hunt. If you prefer to use our gear. Outdoor Solutions will provide a variety of rifles for you to use.

Range:

Our range will feature a combination of paper, 3D Animal targets with steel vitals and steel targets out to 500 yards.

Our KD range features a roomy 10 bay range house with custom benches, gun rest and vices for working on your firearms.

Course Overview: (Not a Complete List)

The purpose of this course is to prepare you for an upcoming hunt, where you can expect to shoot at ranges from 200 to 500 yards.

Hunting can be demanding and put a good amount of stress on you both physically and mentally, our instructors, who are avid hunters as well, will make sure you have all the tools you need to be successful on your next hunt.

You will spend 2 nights and 1 ½ days with us with minimal time in the classroom and the majority of the time being spent on the range.

Expect to arrive around 1pm on your arrival day, spend 1 to 1 ½ hours in the class room and then straight to the range for the instructors to go through your gear or to familiarize you with our gear.

  • Class review of MOA, reading, holding for wind, utilizing your reticle/elevation dial, ballistic app use
  • Gear review, You will go to the range with the instructors to review your gear and make sure everything is in working order. This includes:
    • Rifle
    • Optics
    • Rings
    • Ammo Selection
    • Binos
    • Range Finder
    • Shooting sticks
    • Backpack
    • Medical Gear
    • Ballistic App (If Applicable)
    • Rifle Cleaning
    • Gear selection, we will cover different types of gear, and gear preferences by the OS team
    • Personal Rifle set up
    • Proper eye relief
    • Rifle zero
    • Cold Bore Shot
    • Positional Shooting
    • Stressed or elevated heart rate shooting.

The below information is for review, consideration and agreement PRIOR to attending class. A hard copy will be provided in person, and your signature will be required BEFORE training begins.

I understand that engaging in this, or any, firearms training course is high-risk and has a potential for bodily injury, serious physical harm or death. The risks associated with this training course include but are not limited to, slips and falls, lifting, bending, weather-related and environmental injuries, accidental/unintentional firearms discharge, ammunition ricochet and splatter, weapon malfunction, aerosol sprays, strenuous physical exertion and other potential outcomes during the course of training.

In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the above-listed training course, with the intention of binding myself and my successors in interest and assigns, I hold harmless from liability and forever discharge Outdoor Solutions, the owners and operators of Outdoor Solutions, and their officers, agents, employees, tenants, guests, heirs, legal representatives and assigns, personally and in their official capacities (hereinafter “Outdoor Solutions”), from all damages, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action of every kind and nature, whether negligent or intentional, both known and unknown, whether accrued or accruing in the future, arising out of, or in anyway connected with my participation in this course, including but not limited to instruction, demonstrations, training films, videotape presentations, course materials, hand-out literature, live fire exercises, training facilities, and firing range(s).

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I shall indemnify and defend Outdoor Solutions from and against all injuries, claims, damages, losses and expenses, including but not limited to attorney’s fees, arising directly or indirectly out of my negligence, or willful, wanton, or reckless conduct resulting in death or bodily injury or damage to any real or tangible personal property in connection with my participation in the training course.

I have carefully read this waiver and the contents and I fully understand the effects of this release. No threats, promises, inducements, or any other agreements, have been made between Outdoor Solutions, it’s instructors and myself.

Completing this form does NOT secure your placement in this course, until payment is complete. Once the above form is complete, please proceed to step #2 to complete payment and secure your placement in this course. Please note that each individual registering for this training course is required to complete this form and submit payment. If you are unable to complete payment in full, please contact us to discuss alternate payment plans that may be available. Payment terms are subject to class availability, class size, or other factors determined by Outdoor Solutions and may not be available in all situations.
